Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides free tax preparation services for individuals and families earing up to $57,000 per year in the Greater Hartford region. Individuals and families with household incomes up to $68,000 can also file online at Virtual and a small number of in-person lcoations are available.

How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment, filers have 3 different options. They include:
* Fill out a JotForm and a tax preparer will contact you
*Call 2-1-1 or visit Call 211, press 3 then 6 to make an appointment.
*Complete a tax return your own at (for incomes up to $68,000)

VITA/The Village (previously located @ MCC location) will be preparing tax returns virtually. Taxpayers can use the link provided below to fill out the intake form and upload their tax documents via smartphone or computer. The returns will be prepared by IRS trained and certified volunteers, who will then contact the taxpayer to review the return.
